HX Two-Wire Series

HX Two-Wire Series – High-Precision Two-Wire Infrared Thermometer

Two-wire 4–20 mA infrared thermometers with distance-to-spot ratios up to 150:1, covering 0 °C to 1700 °C in standard segments.

The HX series combines non-contact temperature measurement with standard two-wire loop technology. Three wavelengths — 8–14 µm, 1.6 µm and 1 µm — cover low-temperature processes through to kilns and furnaces.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How is the HX connected?
The HX uses a two-wire 4–20 mA loop powered with 12–24 VDC. Maximum loop resistance is typically 750 Ω at 24 VDC.
Which wavelength should I choose?
8–14 µm for lower ranges; 1.6 µm around 400–1200 °C; 1 µm around 700–1700 °C.
How large does my target have to be?
The target should be larger than the measuring spot, especially where the target or the sensor may move. At the focus, spot diameter ≈ measuring distance ÷ distance-to-spot ratio (e.g. 55:1 at longer working distances).
