HC Compact Series

HC Compact Series – Compact Infrared Temperature Sensor

Compact M18 stainless-steel infrared probes covering −20 °C to 1800 °C across IL, IR, LT, IN and SI models.

Cost-effective compact sensors with multiple wavelengths — 8–14 µm, 1.6 µm and 1.0 µm — matched to low-, medium- and high-temperature targets. Standard coding SKUs use a 5-wire output and 1.5 m cable.

Typical applications

Where HC sensors are used

IL / LT — low and medium temperature

Industrial low- and medium-temperature targets: plastics, packaging, textile, food, power and petrochemical.

IN / SI — medium and high temperature

Heat treatment, furnaces, metal processes; measurement through optical glass and quartz windows on suitable wavelengths.

IR — compact disc housing

Installations that need an M20×1 disc-style housing at 0–500 °C.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which HC model should I choose?
Choose by target temperature and wavelength: IL / IR / LT (8–14 µm) for low and medium temperatures; IN (1.6 µm) and SI (1.0 µm) for medium and high temperatures.
Can HC sensors measure through a window?
The IN and SI models can measure through optical glass and quartz windows.
Is a digital output available?
Yes. HCLT485 provides RS485 Modbus RTU directly.
How large does my target have to be?
The target should be larger than the measuring spot, especially where the target or the sensor may move. At the focus, spot diameter ≈ measuring distance ÷ distance-to-spot ratio (e.g. LT, 30:1: about 17 mm at 500 mm).
